U.K. Icelandic Group subsidiary Seachill launched a range of branded, fresh salmon and whitefish with sauce products into retail giant Tesco. Seachill's range consists of four fish and sauce products and five standalone sauces. The fish in sauce products are: salmon fillets with watercress and creme fraiche sauce; seabass fillets with beurre blanc sauce; haddock fillets with mustard and dill vinaigrette; and salmon with sunblush tomato dressing. The fresh fish sauces are watercress; hollandaise; teriyaki; fish pie sauce; and parsley. The range is rolling out in 330 Tesco stores around the United Kingdom on an introductory offer of £2.50 (EUR2.8/$4) a pack until Jan. 18, after which they will be £4 (EUR4.4/$6.4). Irish stores are also stocking the range from Jan. 17. Focus group research also pointed to consumers needing inspiration in terms of knowing what goes with what when cooking fish, said Smith.
