HAVSEL ö NORWAY

Akureyri, Iceland, May 3 ö The Norwegian sealer Havsel (300 gt) has reached the Icelandic port of Akureyri after nearly sinking in icy Artic waters. She was steaming between Jan Mayen and Greenland when she was pierced by an ice floe which cut a hole in her starboard side, below the water line.
