Norwegian salmon farmer Nordlaks is promoting Eirik Welde to the position of CEO while its current CEO and founder, Inge Berg is stepping down into a new role within the company.

Eirik Welde is currently managing director of Nordlaks Smolt and will take over the reins of the group from January.

Berg, who has been CEO of the company since its inception in 1989, will become the company’s new director of strategy, concept and project development.
