BUGALED BREIZH ö FRANCE
Lizard Point, England, Jan 15 ö French Transport Minister Gilles de Robien vowed to identify a cargo ship believed to have been involved in a hit and run accident that sank a French trawler 14 miles off Lizard Point, at the southern tip of Cornwall, England, killing all five fishermen on board. "In all European ports we are going to look at all the boats which arrive and we will necessarily find marks on the aggressor, " he said. The British Coastguard was alerted by another fishing vessel, Eridan, whose crew saw the trawler capsize and sink. Seas were rough with severe gales ö cresting at 25 ft. ö and visibility poor. Two bodies were quickly recovered along with two empty liferafts. The other three bodies are believed to be with the vessel. Undersea pictures of the wreck, taken by a French navy sub-sea robot, indicate Bugaled Breizh sustained a major impact on her forward starboard side, probably caused by a much larger and faster vessel.
