Saury catch rising
A NEW 'parachute' stern trap fishing method and the introduction of factory ships is breathing new life into the Pacific fishery for saury (Cololabis saira). This fishery has been unusual in that much of the TACs of up to 450,000 tonnes have remained unharvested.
